This study focuses on the difference in nature between the concept of money in the early period of Islam and modern paper money. It compares the fact that gold and silver coins, such as dinar and dirham, are goods that possess intrinsic economic value, with fiat money deriving its value from social acceptance, law, and the monetary system.
The main thesis of the book is that since the form and economic nature of money have changed, the fiqh evaluation of riba and interest must take this historical-economic transformation into account.
